Polymer Slices Safety

Are Polymer Slices Safe?

Yes — our polymer slices are absolutely safe when used in cosmetics like lip gloss!

At Pipmine, we take your safety (and sparkle) seriously. The polymer slices we use are made from non-toxic, cosmetic-grade materials. They’re similar to what’s found in nail art and other beauty products that are applied to skin — but we go the extra mile by sourcing only slices that meet strict quality and safety standards.

🔍 Let’s clear up the confusion:

We get it — the word “polymer” can sound scary. But here’s the truth:

  • Polymer clay slices are not the same as raw craft clay. Once cured (baked during production), the slices are hardened and stable.
  • They don’t dissolve, melt, or release harmful chemicals in lip gloss. They stay suspended safely in the formula.
  • We do not use food-grade or toy clays. Ours are selected specifically for cosmetic use and are inert (meaning: they won’t interact with your skin or lips).

🚫 What we don’t do:

  • We don’t use cheap, unsafe craft supplies in our glosses.
  • We don’t cut corners with ingredients or sourcing.

 What we do instead:

  • Work with trusted manufacturers who understand beauty industry standards.
  • Test and observe all our glosses for stability and safety before shipping.
  • Encourage transparency and welcome questions—because we care about what goes on your lips!

Bottom line? If glitter, gloss, and good vibes are your thing, you can wear our gloss with total peace of mind. You’ll shine — safely.
